The 5-year craftsmanship warranty means your building is free of workmanship defects and material problems
that are reasonably expected on a storage building at delivery. Coverage depends on proper delivery, site
prep, and maintenance — we help you check the site before the truck shows up.
How a claim works
1.Send pictures first — a claim cannot start without them.
2.Premier has up to 2 weeks to assess the claim.
3.Once entered into the database, processing takes up to 3 weeks.
4.Missing information can delay or even deny a claim, so include everything up front.

The siding behind the 50-year number
The 50-year siding figure comes from LP SmartSide, and it is a real, published,
prorated warranty — not marketing shorthand. The highlights:
50-year substrate warranty
LP warrants SmartSide siding against fungal degradation, buckling, and cracking or peeling of the resin-impregnated overlay for 50 years from installation.
Full repair cost for the first 5 years
During years 1–5 LP pays the cost of repairing or replacing failing product, labor included. From year 6 the payout is prorated at 2.22% per year through year 49.
Transfers with the building
Coverage follows the structure to its next owner — a real resale point for a backyard building.
SmartGuard treatment
Every panel is treated with LP’s borate-based SmartGuard process to resist termite damage and fungal decay.
No coverage for damage from earthquake, hail, wind, fire, flood, accident, theft, vandalism, or acts of God. RTO Assurance can be purchased to replace the unit if it is deemed completely destroyed.
Personal property
Premier is not responsible for damage to personal property, or to your property and belongings when a building is delivered, set up, or moved.
Modifications
Any modification or alteration made by anyone other than a Premier shop employee voids the 5-year craftsmanship warranty.
Late reports
Broken windows and other damage must be reported within 7 days to be covered.
Normal wear
Expected wear and tear on wood is not covered — this includes discoloration, normal wood splits, and mildew that forms on the wood.
Settling
Settling is not covered. You contact a driver directly to arrange a price, time, and date for releveling.
Lost or stolen keys
Premier does not stock extra keys or send a shop out for t-handles and door knobs. A new locking kit ships once payment is received, and you handle swapping the lock set.
Used and display buildings
Used or discounted displays are not covered, including issues caused by modifications or damage from prior owners.
Owning a Premier building comes with general maintenance and upkeep. Keeping up with it is part of making
sure you have a quality product for years to come.
